 A list of films produced by the Bollywood film industry in 2011. Several commercially and critically successful films were released during the year. Eight films made it to the top 30 list of highest grossing Hindi films at the Indian box officeBodyguard is the year's highest grosser with a total net of INR148 crore. Within the first day of its release, become the highest opening day grosser as well as the biggest grosser ever for a single day at the time of its release, breaking the records earlier held by Dabangg. The film went on to break many collection records, netting INR20.66 crore on its opening day, INR85.50 crore in its extented opening weekend and INR109.47 crore in its extented first week of business. This film marked the third straight INR100 crore-plus film for Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor. It is Bollywood's third highest-grossing film ever, after 2009's 3 Idiots and 2012's "Ek Tha Tiger"(another salman-starrer)
